In addition to increasing operational efficiency and enhancing competitiveness, lateral hiring offers hospitality companies new perspectives, innovative ideas, and valuable skill sets.

Over 758,000 people will be employed in travel and tourism roles by 2023, surpassing the pre-pandemic peak and surpassing the pre-pandemic peak. The leisure and hospitality industries can continue to grow by attracting skilled professionals from other industries.

The opening of new hotels will create more jobs

The hotel and hospitality industries are actively recruiting, including Rotana, Ras Al Khaimah properties, the Burj Khalifa, Hilton, and the Radisson group, as well as travel consultants, agencies, and leisure destinations. There are numerous job postings available with occupancy gains continuing. In Dubai alone, 14,845 rooms will be added in 2023, so staffing demands will only increase.

Hotel manager: Dh18,700 to Dh20,000

IT manager: Dh17,000 to Dh26,000

Concierge manager:Dh6,000 to Dh7,500

Hotel cleanliness supervisor: Dh5,000 to Dh6,000

Club general manager: Dh12,000 to Dh15,000

Hotel receptionist: Dh 4,000 to Dh5,000

Spa manager: Dh10,000 to Dh15,000
